I specifically say that:

I firmly believe that working inside a terminal window often makes you more productive and permits you to really understand what’s going on under the hood.

But you chose to ignore this because it didn't support the point you are trying to make. It's either this or you just didn't read the article. Next time you can give 5 minutes of your time to go through an article before judging the "professionally dead" developer/author.
